The Building and Grounds Team is a dedicated group of volunteers who ensure that our church facilities and property remain well-maintained, functional, and welcoming to all who enter. This team is essential in stewarding the resources God has given us, keeping our church grounds and building in excellent condition to support the mission and vision of Generation. Whether you have skilled experience or just a willingness to help, your efforts will make a lasting impact on our church and community.
This team operates on a flexible schedule, with some tasks being regularly scheduled, while others arise sporadically based on immediate needs. Team members will be contacted as projects or maintenance needs arise that fit their skill set, and they can commit based on their availability.

Because there are a variety of maintenance and improvement needs, the Building and Grounds Team is divided into specialized branches to fit different skill sets. Volunteers may serve in one or more of the following areas:

Painting – Keeping walls, trim, and exterior spaces looking clean and maintained with fresh coats of paint as needed.
Carpentry – Assisting with woodworking projects, minor repairs, furniture construction, and other structural improvements.
Cleaning – This area consists of:
Deep Cleaning - Assisting with periodic indoor deep cleaning throughout the year, ensuring our spaces remain fresh and inviting.
Window Washing - Cleaning and maintaining windows inside and out a few times a year.
Trash Pick-Up - Keeping the church property clean by regularly gathering and disposing of litter and ensuring trash receptacles are properly maintained inside and out.
Landscape – Lawn care, weeding, trimming, mulching, leaf blowing, seasonal upkeep, power washing, and other landscape elements.
Weather Response – Responsible for clearing storm drains year-round, preparing the property for heavy rain, and managing snow and ice in winter by salting, clearing walkways, and monitoring conditions before and after services or events.
These areas and items are not exhaustive, and additional needs may arise where volunteers can lend their skills and support.
