Enjoying Jesus: 12 Spiritual Disciplines

Enjoying Jesus: 12 Spiritual Disciplines

Ladies, we want to extend a special invitation to help you on your journey of becoming more like Jesus. At Generation, we believe that Jesus is our example, and as we look at His life in the Gospels, we see He consistently modeled a life of discipline; from prayer and meditation to solitude and serving, we see Him intentionally doing the same things over and over.

We invite you to join us for an 8-session study over 16 weeks, where we will learn about and practice spiritual disciplines that will help us mature, challenge lies we may believe, and align our beliefs with the truth of the Gospel. This Bible study, Enjoying Jesus, is for women looking to grow deeper in their relationship with God and to feel more equipped to disciple others to do the same. Relationships are key to our discipleship journey, and this is a wonderful opportunity to meet other women at Generation that you connect with and can join together in future long-term community and DNA groups.

We will meet in the Studio every other Tuesday from February 13th through May 21st, from 7 - 8 pm.

The 12 spiritual disciplines we will cover are prayer, confession, meditation, study, fasting, sabbath rest, silence, solitude, simplicity, giving, service, and worship.

This is open to all women 18 years and older, and we encourage you to attend this study together if you are already in a Community or DNA Group. The cost is $15, which covers a printed copy of the study and any materials used throughout our time together. Childcare will not be available; please plan accordingly.  Please register HERE!

If you have questions, please reach out to Kelly at kelly@generationchurch.org.

Partnership Interest Meeting

11:45 AM11:45

Partnership Interest Meeting

We want to partner with you here at Generation!

Partnership is simply a formal relationship between a local church and a Christ follower and reflects the organic relationship and community that already exists in the church.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28 says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it. And God has placed these in the church."

In the New Testament, Christians are consistently recognized as belonging to a specific church community where they are being formed spiritually and strengthened in the care of that church and its leaders.

Whether you are new to Generation, an existing partner with questions, or somewhere in between, this meeting is for you.

To learn more about partnership, what is involved, what contributions you make as a partner, and what benefits you receive, please join us for this interest meeting on Sunday, January 21st, at 11:45 am, immediately after the second service.

Childcare will be provided. Please REGISTER on the Church Center app. See you there!

If you already know you are going to partner with us in 2024, you do not need to come to this meeting unless you have questions.

Holiday Sponsorship

In partnership with OneCompassion, our vision is that no family in Johnston County goes without a Christmas. We want families to experience the joy of giving and receiving grace and compassion just as we have. To be able to serve in this way, OneCompassion relies on the nomination of deserving families in need from our local community to allow us to come alongside them to help provide much-needed groceries, household items, and gifts during the Christmas season.

Join us by sponsoring a family through our church partnership with OneCompassion. By sponsoring a family, you will bless them with gifts, household items, toiletries, and groceries for the holiday. OneCompassion will provide a list for each family so you know what to shop for.

You can sign up to do this on your own, with others, or with your community group. Plan on spending approximately $500-$700, depending on the size of the family.

Please plan on delivering the items to your family at their home on the designated drop-off date in December that will be in your packet. You will want 2-4 people to do the drop-off together.

If you or your Community Group is interested in serving our community in this incredible way, please register, and we will be in contact with the family assignment and the shopping list by November 20th.

*If you are sponsoring with a group, only one person/family needs to sign up for the whole group.*

Questions? Contact Kelly at kelly@generationchurch.org

If you would like to participate but want to share the costs with another family or group, please reach out to Kelly.
