Series Archive

  • Identity is defined as the distinguishing character or personality of an individual. Identity includes things like our memories, our upbringing, our relationships, and our life experiences, both the good and the bad. All of these things contribute to who we are! As followers of Jesus, we are given a new identity and that new identity in Christ now informs and shapes the way we live. In the letter to the Ephesians, in chapters one through three, Paul takes us on a journey to understand our new identity. After he lays the foundation for who we are, he shows us, in chapters four through six, how that new identity shapes us in the everyday stuff of life.

  • I remember the first time I ever saw the Grand Canyon, I had heard about it, seen other people's pictures of it, and read about it, but seeing and experiencing it for myself was completely different.  There are so many things in life that once you see and experience it it changed me, things like the birth of my children and cold brew coffee!  The Gospel of John is written for us to see Jesus through the eyes of the author and to experience Him for ourselves.  Several times throughout the book people say "come and see"...see it for yourself, experience it and believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God!
