Come join us in working on the outside of the Women’s & Children’s Home to help make it look and feel more like a home to the women and children that are living there as well as cleaning out and organizing their donation shed.

The yard work we will be tackling will be to trim up their bushes and hedges, mow and trim their grass, weed and clean out all the beds around the house and trees, and lay down new mulch. General clean up around the yard and haul away the yard debris and tearing down an old playground swing set and hauling that away. We also need someone with a green thumb as we have 2 raised flower beds that need totally cleaned out and replanted with new flowers and plants.

On the last day we will also clean out and organize their donation shed of clothes and misc. items and all come together with the families and staff of the Mission for a cookout lunch and fellowship and a time of prayer.

FULL - Creating Forget-Me-Not Box Project

The loss of a pregnancy at any stage is devastating to any family that is expecting to welcome a healthy bundle of joy into their family in nine months. A miscarriage or loss of a pregnancy before 12 weeks gestation can be even more difficult as these parents are left without any memento of their precious baby. Moms Healing Moms is partnering with the local hospitals in Clayton and Smithfield to provide families with a tangible memory box as they walk through this very difficult journey. We plan to assemble 50 such boxes which will include items such as a journal, Christmas ornament, candle, and other small treasures to memorialize their baby. These special packages will then be provided to the Emergency and Outpatient surgery departments at these facilities as these are the areas which many parents experiencing a miscarriage will transition through. We would love for you to join us for this special project that will mean so very much to those families. This event is open to anyone with a heart for memory making.

Prayer Walking In Our Community

6:30 PM18:30

Prayer Walking In Our Community

Prayer walking is a type of intercessory prayer that involves walking to or near a particular place while praying. The focus here is praying for our community, whether it’s in your neighborhood, around a local school, business, etc. It can be very powerful to be in the midst of our community as we are praying for God to move in our city and to open our eyes to see how God wants to use us to make disciples.Check out the video below to learn more about this practice: Prayer Walking: Watch Us Do It!

We will meet first at Generation Church at 6:30 PM to pray together and go over (briefly) basic needs and purpose of the prayer walk, and then go out into our community to prayer walk. Please contact the Event Host by the email provided with any questions.
